Back in December 2006, Nick Mazza and Kyle Johnson conceived and created adgridwork as a simple, free and effective way of quickly promoting a website. At the time, advertising options were limited to paying for banner ads or text links, using a contextual service (like AdSense), or manually contacting and trading links with other webmasters. Thus, adgridwork becomes a free, open advertising network that allows bloggers, small businesses and other website owners to submit their ads into, and in exchange for serving their ads on thousands of highly targeted and related sites, they are also required to serve ads for other users. The end result would be a giant community of websites that would all help one another promote and market their products, ideas and services for free!

How To Use Craigslist To Get Some Traffic.

Posted July 28th, 2007. Filed under Web Promotion

Craigslist is an extremely high trafficked website that you can effectively use to get some excellent results for your new website. Here is an interesting video to show you how to drive free traffic to your website free using Craigslist. Let me know what you think.

Directory Submitter

As you probably know already, Google is constantly changing the way they rank websites. These days, it is absolutely critical to get high-quality, 1-way links to your website.

Reciprocal linking just isn’t anywhere near as effective as it once was. The problem that we and most people are running into is it’s HARD to figure out how to get 1-way links, let alone high-quality ones!

One of the absolute best and “easiest” ways to get these quality, one-way links is by submitting your website to website directories. By doing so, you can not only get one-way links pretty much instantly, but you can control the anchor text used in your link.

This means that you can completely control which keywords you want to rank highly for! Up until now, the stone-age method is to manually find where and what the directories are and fill in your website details with the keyboard, absolutely tedious and time-consuming.

Guess what? We’ve come across a brand new program created by Brad Callen and the Bryxen Software team, called “Directory Submitter“. It allows you to quickly submit your website to thousands of website directories with a few mouse clicks! No kidding…

We’ve been using it and it saves us literally hours of time in both submitting AND in finding these directories. You won’t believe it’s free too…

* Multi-Purpose Submission Software *

Only Submitter

If you’ve been on the Internet for a while, you’ve seen all kinds of submitters, some of which are completely bogus (e.g. SEBASTIAN FOSS). You may have even tried some of these, and if you’re like most, you haven’t gotten any results. So the question you have to ask is simply this. “Are any submitters any good?”

Well, we’re going to point out some of the things about Ross Goldberg’s Only Submitter that really do make it different from the other submitters out there.

For starters, most submitters maybe submit to one or two types of services, like FFA sites and search engines. But that’s where Only Submitter really leaves the others in the dust.

Only Submitter submits to 755 web directories, 113 article directories, 82 blog and RSS directories, 15 press release directories, 35 video sites, 87 podcast sites and 73 social bookmarking sites. If you notice, nowhere on this least do you see the usual FFA and search engine site submissions.

This is what really makes Only Submitter unique. It submits things to places where they actually do some good.

Let’s take article directories as an example. Article submission is the integral to getting backlinks to your website. The problem with manual submission is that it is a very time consuming process and it is very easy to get tired and discouraged after you’ve submitted your articles to the first 10 directories. With Only Submitter, it’s not a problem. You can submit to 113 article directories nearly as easy as you can submit to one. For the die-hard article writer who lives and dies with those backlinks, this is a piece of software that is worth the price alone.

What about blog directories? Well, this is something that goes hand in hand. You can get amazing search engine rankings for your blog posts with ease by submitting your RSS feed to directories, Social Bookmarking your posts (with Only Submitter of course), and adding it to Web Directories (again, Only Submitter does this too).

The best part of this software is submission to social bookmarking sites and other new options. Social bookmarking is the latest craze and it has caught on very fast. Many people who simply post comments to these sites are getting massive amounts of traffic to their blogs and websites. So imagine being able to submit to 73 social bookmarking sites with ease. It boggles the imagination.

The video submission is smart and easy to use. There is no better way to get your viral videos out for the world to see than Only Submitter. I even give you information that will help you find and use tools that won’t cost you a cent to make them.

Make no mistake about it, when you have a submitter that submits to all these places, many of which are very popular with marketers, you are going to get a lot of traffic simply by doing this on a regular basis.

So, is Only Submitter the ONLY submitter? Well, if it isn’t, we’ve yet to see one that tops it.

Only Submitter is completely customizable. You can add or delete any URL into any database in the system.

You can add databases and create any type of submitter you could ever want or need.

Only Submitter recognizes categories and chooses the best one for your site. Other softwares do not do this and it makes it take 2 to 3 times as long for submissions.

The ability to add in new fields is outstanding, but Only Submitter will actually recognize your new fields on the web and auto-fill the information for you!

If you do see the benefit and how Only Submitter can help you, click for the best deal you’ve come across for quite some time.

Craigslist Marketing 101

Posted February 7th, 2007. Filed under Web Promotion

Since its launch in 1995 Craigslist has quietly become the largest online classifieds website in the world with a regional presence in 190 cities and across 35 countries. Each month over 10 million people log on to the 7th most popular website to buy and sell just about everything. From real estate to furniture, promoting services such as contracting, house cleaning and even babysitting, Craigslist is the one spot where anyone can connect regionally to fill a need.

As its popularity has continued to increase, so have the possibilities for vendors large and small to market their wares on Craigslist. What’s the big attraction? For the most part Craigslist is 100% free to post and search. Only do job postings in San Francisco, L.A and New York City cost a small fee to post. Otherwise, Craigslist is an open free source for new targeted customers, ripe for the picking, just waiting for your business to give them what they want.

Craigslist is a regionally-based website that truly promotes community involvement. However, you can post in any of the available metros and multiple metros as well. The trick is in designing an ad that gets people attention, getting on a regular posting schedule, following the rules (or at least not overtly breaking them) and searching for new customers daily.

Simplicity in ad design is paramount and it matches the vibe that Craigslist likes to attract—peer-to-peer, real human interaction. It lacks the commercial aspects that add fluff and confusion in exchange for simple ads, most posted by real folks. Design your ad to fit into that scheme is key to a successful campaign.

Get into the habit of posting often on Craigslist and hit multiple metros with different ads to get more reach (if you business can support it). It’s free to post so what do you have to lose!

Understanding Craigslist rules are fairly simple as they are openly published. They are super picky about what you can post, but there are exceptions like livestock and anything illegal (drugs, guns, etc.). One of the major rules that we see as a marketing rule more than a terms of service rule is to post in the category that best corresponds with your product type. This ensures your ad will reach the best target without adding to useless clutter.

Over 8 million people post monthly on Craigslist and that number grows every day. Don’t just sit back and post ads, answer ads seeking your products and services as well.

Craigslist is one of the best ways for every business, large and small to find a new voice online for little more than elbow grease.

It is only natural that Craigslist has to grow and protect its integrity and reputation over the years. Since it had begun to sniff out advertisers employing unauthorised black-hat tactics and simply non-mainstream ads, it has recently introduced new tools to wrangle loan scammers, prostitution peddlers, and just-plain greedy marketers.

The Craigslist staff are even working with the police to keep tabs on possible cyber-crimes and potential offenders in its ad network, so much so that “innocent bystanders” can get flagged in a situation not unlike that of getting your AdSense account suspended for the slightest reason.

Thus it becomes ever more important on the part of online marketers to assume responsiblity and best advertising practices without saying…which leads to the question, “What should I know and do to be a highly esteemed advertiser in Craigslist?” There are some well-known rules:

1) Do NOT post exact ad in multiple cities/categories. Make sure your ad fits that category you’re posting in.

2) Use different e-mail addresses if you’re going to post several ads.

3) Do NOT abuse Craigslist by over-posting. Post 2-3 ads (reword them a bit), then wait 3 days before posting again. If you can’t post, try again in a few days because you may be banned temporarily.

4) Don’t waste money on so-called Craigslist auto-posting software. You only take a larger step closer to getting banned.

Matt Alderton has published a useful article on the best actions you can take when posting on Craigslist.

With all that being said, we found some great selections on helping you to become a reputable and profitable Craigslist poster:

The Unofficial Craigslist Book

1) Shanon Lewis’s “The Unofficial Craigslist Book” includes dozens of tips for marketing via Craigslist, including ideas for hot products and services that sell big on the site. She has written it in a way that appeals to all businessmen and women of just about any industry, and anyone can use her strategies to get better exposure for their businesses, better sales conversion and build strong, powerful relationships regionally. Shanon can show you insider tricks beyond mere posting of ads.

2) The Craigslist Black Books Parts 1 and 2 teaches you the secrets to turn this free marketing resource into cash. This books are almost free itself. In fact, it is ridiculous how affordable it is.

It reveals traffic methods not seen in any other Craigslist book. Part 1 is short, sweet and to the point, no fluff and more interestingly, tells real-life stories about:

* How a fitness trainer used Craigslist to make $1000 profit

* How Craigslist helped a Mary Kay consultant to constantly fill weekly home parties with prospects for free facial gathering

* How to get people to show up for your classes

* How to sell REAL ESTATE on Craigslist + a lot more stuff

Part 2 goes further with:

* How to sell more with your eBay store by combining Craigslist and eBay

* How to conduct your dropshipping business in tandem with Craigslist

* How to get top Google rankings

* How to increase your AdSense income too

If you’re serious about profiting from Craigslist, you will get both reports right now for $7 each!

In case you haven’t come across DTMA, it’s time you should take a look at this passive ad exchange. You receive ads from DTMA members as they are shown on your computer screen the moment you let your computer become idle (screensaver-style), as much as your own ads will beam into another fellow member’s screen somewhere else in the world after you created them inside your DTMA account.

It’s FREE, unobstrusive and doesn’t require any substantial effort on your part. You must be online and idle to allow other people’s ads to show up on your screen to earn credits, so that you can spend your credits to show your ads, though you don’t have to take the trouble to be idle, of course.

Sign up if you want to get your products and services noticed…YES you do!

What we really think as the more interesting part is also where you can take part in a JV to promote and $ell one particular product of Mike Filsaime. You may have known what this product is, and it enjoys a high conversion rate. Look out for a “Joint Venture” link inside your account. That section will take you by the hand and you will be able to set up your sales page within minutes. Here’s another great opportunity to monetize traffic!
