Poor man’s version of the Catfish, but good enough.

August 14th, 2007 by User ImageNelson Tan

This news article was published on July 10th, 2007, in a supplement of Singapore's main English paper, The Straits Times. It talks about the eyeball conversion effectiveness of a slide-in (instead of a popup) and how it benefits the company, hardwarezone.com, which runs the advertising program to cater for other technological companies.

Try to visit Hardware Zone again because for reasons best known to the HWZ staff they are not running Catfish as I type this post today.

At least you can see a very close demo on my site. Looks cool, doesn't it? It slides in, is unobstrusive and unblockable too, and you can have the software with which you can design your own slide-in. Download Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Popups Gold Edition.

Remember, as you run the program, always make backups of your original pages.
