The process of moving
to Aweber is very much done and over with, and with that, major
changes are being incorporated with the way we work and where
we have to go next year.
First, AMOS is going
to be more infrequent but more tightly focused on Internet Marketing.
I personally am biting more than I can chew with niche sites here and there but let's just say I better keep
silent and prove their profitability to myself first :)
SEO
Perhaps the biggest
winds in the past 2, 3 weeks have been a clash of information
and opinions over SEO, AdSense and AdWords. We are sure many people
are getting lost. Just yesterday, I ask my friend Shi, a local
SEO expert, what he thought about Brad Fallon and Andy Jenkin's
SEO videos, if there's nothing new about their stuff.
I quote him closely,
"In the first place, Andy enlisted Brad to help him optimized
his Yahoo store. Understand that it's not easy to optimize a store
for lack of textual content, hence the difficulty of on-page
optimization. Second, it's a Yahoo store. Things have
changed now, but in the past, Google would indexed hardly anything
from a rival platform, much less a store. Third, sometimes I think
I could be much better off running an online store. Why? A
store gets to the point of asking for money the way a landing
page asks for opt-ins. Adding text is wasting time lah."
"But Google
is much more 'humanised' now and they do recognized good sites,
whether they are content-heavy or look like online catalogs. Off-page
optimization, of which backlink accumulation is one factor,
is their selling point, and it is really SEO at advanced level,
not easy. It takes much more work to see results over a period
of time. I know they are good at this."

case study videos (especially "Grandma vs. Rich Jerk")
on Brad and Andy's Stomper
Blog, or watch the "Go Natural" videos again. I
am reminded of 1800flowers.com,
which ranks 1st for 'flowers'. Examine how often and where the
keyword appears. Does it make sense?
As far as on-page
optimization is concerned, principles remain the same.
1) Know the keywords
of your industry.
2) Do a search for
the top 10 sites based on your keywords and emulate them.
3) Place your keywords
in <title>, <h1>, <h2>, <alt> tags and
in your first paragraph...
Continue to blog
on your site, add more pages, accumulate links and keep your site
fresh and relevant overtime, and Google will recognize it. In
other words, run a business, not just a site.
Engage and combine expertises to "bring up" the site
(this happens when I realize I'm biting more than I can chew).
AdSense
Common sense tells
us if AdSense
is dead, that means Google has given up the program, but while
AdSense is playing hard to get, the secret is out in "Life
After AdSense", and it chilled us for 2 reasons:
1) The wonderful
food chain concept. It begs the question: If you are
neither an expert in AdSense or anything outside it, given a choice,
would you still earn cents or think of other ways to earn dollars?
Is earning more always more difficult?
2) At least one marketer
we know discourages his database from doing what Scott (the author)
did because it's dangerous, risky whatsoever...We thought it's
a combo of PPC, some in-depth test-and-track methodology and a
bit of JV (with affiliate program providers/merchants) thrown
in. For sure, Scott writes from personal experiences. Fundamentally,
it heralds the advantages of PPC marketing.
AdWords
The times that are
changing, begging you to work things out in new ways. Gone are
old habits, in with the new. Consider the top affiliate on a regular
basis when she doesn't rush to take part in affiliate
sales contest: Rosalind
Gardner. The key secret to her success is PPC. That goes with
Ewen too. You can also pick up Chris Carpenter's classic, Google
Cash, providing you with the ins and outs of AdWords.

to save those Flash video and watch them offline, here's the method.
As you may know, all the files, images and text, that you access
on the Internet are saved under a "Temporary Internet Files"
folder, apart from those that you consciously downloaded.
Go to c:\Documents
and Settings\(XP login name)\Local Settings\Temporary Internet
Files of Windows Explorer, click on the "Size" tap to
arrange them in ascending order, you'll find files of .flv or
