Beware!
Chances are someone might be downloading it without paying you...from
Google!
Want
to know how?
If
you launch your e-book in around say, a week or two...long enough
for Google to index your site...it
is very likely that your e-book is available for free on Google.
How?
Go
to Google,
then click on "Advanced Search".
Select
file type "Adobe Acrobat PDF" (this is precisely
the problem!).
Type
the name of your book, or some key phrase that you used in your
book in the "exact phrase" field and also in the "all
of the words" field.
Try
and optimize the result with something that might throw you off
course (if you were searching for that book like "errata")
in the "without the words" field.
Select
"View 100 results" per page.
Chances
are you will find your book listed in the results somewhere for
sure.
Every
book that you launch in your site will come up as a search result
sometime or the other.
We
don't know how, but Google is able to grab the link of the file
without "making a purchase" on your site.
We
couldn't imagine how Chris Carpenter would react if he
found his e-book through this method! ;)
You
can invest in a PayPal
encryption software or 2CO
Lock Pro. The free alternative is ZIP up your PDF
files (though that doesn't stop hardcore searchers from
reaching your product no matter what).
"Advanced
Search" is especially useful if you are looking for
free e-books to give away, include as a bonus or resell.
At least it's something we can think of. Keep your actions within
legal boundaries. We have an Internet economy to support here.

Think
about something you're capable of, something you'll be happy doing,

not to follow our hearts because we are afraid. Afraid of feeling
pain, afraid of getting rejected, afraid of being alone, afraid
of failing, afraid of growing old, afraid of dying. The
power of fear stems from a premise that past hurts will return
if we are not wary of our present and future manoeuvres, but this
is an illusion. The past, by its very nature, cannot
come back, and attempting to live your life by avoiding all the
things you're afraid of is like never leaving your home because
you think it's unsafe outside. Here's a poem abot breaking out
of one's comfort zone and embracing life without fear.
I
used to have a comfort zone where I knew I wouldn't fail.
The
same 4 walls and busy work were really more like jail.
I
longed so much to do the things I'd never done before,
But
stayed in my comfort zone and paced the same old floor.
I
said it didn't matter much that I wasn't doing much.
I
